MICROMAX A90

Specs:

OS-Android v4.0; Screensize-4.3 inch capacitive display; processor -1GHz; internal memory - 4GB, expandable up to 32GB; Bluetooth; Wi-Fi, 8MP camera; 1600 mAh li-ion battery.
Price: Rs 12,999

DESIGN:

There is a special thing about the A90's design . The front it is with all clear 4.3-inch display integrated with the three keys with capacitive touch. The Micromax label for branding is smartly placed on down side of the textured back. The quality of hardware is good that even experts can’t recognize the brand when the logo is covered. Gives a feeling of 'Samsung', because it’s a bit like Samsung Galaxy SII. The Gorilla Glass is a complement, especially for Indians.

USER INTERFACE & TOUCH INPUT:

the user interface and touch input are complement from the hardware. The capacitive touch input was so responsive that we can easily type long docs or mails, without much effort needed like while using capacitive displays. The user interface, in the meantime, is Android Ice-Cream Sandwich. There is no separate key for the camera; we have to use screen lock for unlocking the phone and as well as launching the camera. The home screen comes with the three capacitive touch home, keys-back and multitasking. Five keys are with application tray in the middle and four shortcuts. The main menu was separated as widgets and apps with a Play Store icon on left side of top.

POWER & PLATFORM:

When Micromax announced A90 with a dual-core processor. But it came with 1GHz single-core processor along with 512MB RAM. Even then the phone accessing good. We can comfortably use it for browsing, downloading apps from Google play and even operate email accounts. We can expect all without a single moment where we have to feel the phone was slow.

CAMERA:

The A90 has come up with an 8MP camera with LED Flash. But don't expect very high - the images captured in daylight were neat without noise, but the results in dim lights were not so impressive.

OTHERS:

The A90 is a dual SIM phone. The phone has 4 GB internal memory of which only Half is available to use. Usage time is over a day and a half.
